The HTX login system gives you secure access to your trading and wallet features. This guide covers safe login steps, two-factor authentication (2FA), account recovery, and precautions to avoid phishing and account compromise.
Before you log in
Ensure the URL is https://www.htx.com and the SSL lock is present in the address bar.
Never enter credentials on a site reached from an email link — type the official URL manually or use a trusted bookmark.
Have your 2FA device (authenticator app or hardware key) ready if you enabled it.
If 2FA is enabled, enter the code from your authenticator app (Google Authenticator / Authy) or use your hardware key.
Confirm login and review any recent login notifications sent via email or SMS.
How to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
We recommend using an authenticator app for 2FA. To enable:
Log in and go to Security in your account settings.
Choose Two-Factor Authentication and select the Authenticator app option.
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app and save the backup recovery codes in a secure offline location.
Enter the generated code to confirm setup.
Tip: Keep the backup/recovery codes safe — they can restore access if you lose your authenticator device.
Account recovery — Forgot password or lost 2FA
If you forget your password, use the "Forgot password" link on the HTX Login page to receive reset instructions to your registered email. If you've lost 2FA access, follow the account recovery flow in the HTX Support Center; you'll need to verify identity with requested documents.
Security best practices
Use a unique, strong password (password manager recommended).
Enable 2FA and consider a hardware security key for higher protection.
Monitor account activity and set up withdrawal whitelist and account notifications.
Beware of phishing: HTX will never ask for your password or 2FA code via email or social media.
Limit API key permissions and revoke unused keys immediately.
Recognizing phishing and scams
Common red flags: misspelled domains, urgent/unusual requests, login pages without SSL, or unsolicited contact claiming to be HTX support. When in doubt, consult the HTX Support Center directly.
Troubleshooting
Can't log in: clear browser cache, try a private/incognito window, or try a different browser.
2FA code not accepted: sync the time on your authenticator device, or use a backup code.
Suspicious activity: immediately change your password, revoke API keys, and contact HTX support via the official support portal.
